Loved reading about this organization: some of the eggheads behind University Games, sf0.org, and other noteworthy groups have founded Nuvana, a company designed to further education in new media by getting kids playing purposeful games in school. Jeopardy! Robot vs. Ken Jennings
TV’s Jeopardy! from Merv Griffin Entertainment (my occasional employer) is certainly the gold standard of television trivia games: the structure, the format, the challenging questions covering a far-reaching scope of knowledge. Who would have enough hubris to think they could program a computer that could beat a human at Jeopardy!? IBM, that’s who. And some day soon, they may succeed.
